Aeroponics Systems

Aeroponic culture differs from conventional hydroponics.  Unlike hydroponics, which uses a water based nutrient solution as a growing medium to sustain plant growth, aeroponics is conducted without a growing medium.

Aeroponics is used as a plant cloning and propagation technique for the rooting of plant cuttings.

After the cuttings take root the small plants can then be transplanted easily to either a soil growing environment or a hydroponic gardening system.

There are a few different types of aeroponic systems available.

Some systems have automatic spraying of nutrients from below at the root level. The OxyClone is an inexpensive and popular product with no spray jets to get clogged.

Botanicare has developed effective aeroponic systems which are cost efficient and practical.
